    what main difference do you find between electric grass trimmers and petrol grass trimmers? I seem to gather that petrol tools are quite noisy although more powerful- is that how it is?

    Pretty much although petrol ones are genrally used on more remote areas without a power source. They are a fab piece of kit:)

    Straight shaft petrol versions can have steel brushcutter blades fitted to cut through brambles and scrub.
