Hi All. I have a 60ft Monterrey Pine in my garden and I wondered if there is any grass that grows under monterrey pines? Currently I have shingle under the tree but I can't vacuum up the pine needles without sucking up the shingle too!! Any ideas?

Grass usually likes about 50% sunshine, but there are more shade tolerant grass mixtures being developed now. The area may be dry too. Perhaps you could clear a small area, prepare for grass and sow a shade tolerant mixture just to try.
