Great little cacti encyclopaedia

    Picked this little book up off eBay, only £2.50, it’s printed around the mid 1980’s, great description’s and colour pictures.
    Well worth the money :thumbsup:

          That looks a great little book @Lem. I think it will come in very useful for you with regard to identification, and it also gives a bit of background information such as place of origin, all of which helps us understand the plants better.

          The first cactus book I bought was in 1968 and it was called 'CACTI' :heehee:
          It has been very useful to me especially in the early days ... it hasn't got many pictures but has chapters on soil, watering, how to take cuttings, growing from seed etc. and it cost 18/6 which was a lot of money for a teenager in those days :old: :biggrin:

            I've got a couple of old books by Edgar and Brian Lamb,(Father and Son), apparently they had what was known as the Exotic Collection down in Hove.
            Probably both dead now.

            But at the time it was pretty impressive.
