Green peppers

    When buying green peppers from a big super market,can i extract the seeds and plant them??????

    I have done it and it worked. But not sure if I would recommend it. A lot of the seeds failed. then again, the one's that worked I got for free.

      Dont use the green ones, get ripe ones.

      Red orange yellow, etc.

      Green ones dont have fully ripe seed.

      Grew some (outside) last year from a supermarket pepper. Lots of quite small fruit, but very crisp and quite edible.

      I had some advice once that when you get the seeds put them in a cup of water and only use the seeds that float as they will be the ones that germinate.

      I've got that far but i'm still in the drying stages at the momet
