Hi does anyone know what this 'fly' was? It was quite small, smaller than a house fly and was really bright, irridescent (sp?) colours of green & red on either half (top & bottom i mean).

It wasn't anywhere near the size of a damsel/dragonfly and we haven't any water near us - apart from my cascade, lol. Haven't noticed anything this bright before, could be cos I wasn't looking:rolleyes:.

    cheers

Sorry for delay in replying walnut, no it's not that one. The colours were split horizontally -. The top was green, the bottom half red. Is that any use:o

I really must start paying more attention - trouble is by the time I get on here I've forgotten details. That happens with anything, I think i've got short term memory loss:D

Maybe I'll start carrying around the dictaphone & record things, that's if I remember to pick it up:rolleyes:

    cheers
