I am currently conducting a study of the public perceptions of green roofs and facades (plants grown on buildings) for the University of Surrey, and I would very much like to get the opinions of those interested in gardening. I'd like to invite you all to fill in an online questionnaire, which can be found at:

    http://www.fahs.surrey.ac.uk/survey/building

It takes around 10-15 minutes to complete, and is very straightforward to fill in. You may be pleased to know that there is also a competition to win £50 worth of John Lewis/Waitrose vouchers. You will not be asked to give any personal details.

Your help is very much appreciated,

    Emma

Sorry, I got halfway through and got very bored.
I had great intentions of finishing it but it was as boring as most of the houses.
Cant really see what you are trying to find out.
Example, how can you say wether its the kind of place you would like to live in if you cant see whats down the street, or over the road.
Suppose I should have finished it, but the answers would have been total guesses.

Was there a milloinares mansion coming up near the end?
Even then I'd need to know what was on the other side of the street before I could answer your questions properly.

    Hi Pete,
Sorry you got bored. You were probably getting to the fun bit as well :)

I can't really tell you exactly what I'm trying to find out because it would affect how others fill out my questionnaire. I'm hoping to get a general impression of the house as a whole. I don't need to show you the rest of the street because it's not about the loaction.

Thanks for your comments though. Can I persuade you to have another go ;)

It seems that most of the questions are not actually aimed at the house, more the location.
Things such as would I like to live there or could I relax there.

For that reason I found it very difficult to hit any button other than, I niether agree or dissagree.
And I cant see how that helps anyone.

    Hi Pete,
I'll put a link to the findings of the study on this post when I get them in August - that should help to explain the study and why I need to ask those particular questions.

Done - but I too found it heavy going and nearly like Pete decided I didn't want to complete - especially initially when the houses as they were seen without context of surroundings. However by the time I got to the end, I could kinda see why they were seen that way and what was going on.

I would like to see the full result of your study.
