I was quite shocked to read in AG that the TV garden, Greenacre, as used by Toby, Alys, Joe Swift etal., was abandoned when the Beeb pulled the plug on it and moved Gardener's World to Monty Don's garden. The pictures in the mag showed a sorry scene of neglect and the writer wondered how much of Licence-fee payers' cash was wasted on it. The BBC don't seem to have any firm plans, so what do you think should be done with it? Use it for allotments for local folk? (it's near Birmingham).

I can't say this is much of a worry. It's the same as when a keen gardener sells their house and the new owners don't bother to maintain it or just grass it all over. Sure it's a waste of licence fee payers cash, but it served it's purpose I guess.
