    Greenfly have appeared on my roses today here in cardiff. Off to get the spray gun out. The battle begins:paladin:

    Their easy enough CH/R just pick them off and squeeze them gently;)

      there's millions of them on all those delicious leaf shoots - lol. i just gave them a spray whilst little chimney sleeps:paladin: :biggrin:

      Just thaught i would post as they caught me by surprise little blighters.
      I will try to pinch them off in future thanx woo

      I am just waiting for the catterpillars now which i :wub2: but are no good for my roses :(

      Greenfly already CRG! That seems early. Not an issue I have here fortunately. :)

        I ran out to check mine CRG but no greenfly :) my new leaves look limp thou(on climbers)??? even on my cuttings?? they are watered :dunno: any ideas gang please ?

              I sprinkled BFB fertilizer around them sheal,do you think they may need something more?
              Non of them Crg,they just look limp,its new leaves that arnt fully open yet ,ive given them another watering and will check them again tomo,i will take a photo if they dont improve :) x

                It's hard to tell Joolz, I put BFB round mine yesterday too, if they go limp then we know what the problem is, but it shouldn't be that. Would you take a picture for us please, sometimes looking at them rings a bell or two. :)

                  Hi Joolz it sounds as though the roots are lacking water,just my personal opinion of course,that's the first thing I would try, Don't worry about them to much just keep an eye on them my friend Roses are pretty resilient,IMHO I shouldn't go feeding them to much,hope this helps:)
