Me Again sorry, tonight two of my chillie plants look wilted, on closer inspection they have greenfly or aphids on them, my question is what is the best organic method to get ride of these?

We had a bit of bother with them last summer in our polytunnel. I blasted them off with a hand sprayer filled with water. I also used yellow sticky fly catchers which helped a little bit.

I do the same as Coub on edible plants but it's a bit messy if the little blighters have got a good hold. And don't forget to look under the leaves too.

I tip mine upside down and dip them in a bucket of Nicotine XL insecticide (at work) but not everyone can or would want to do that but it works.:)

Thanks again excellent advise as always
I've washed off with water for now, if they return I'll try the washing up liquid idea, just sounds funny all those little green fly slipping around untill they fall off :D:D:D

I have not seen any green fly or white fly this year so far. Not even on the allotment.

Green fly just started on one of our roses two days ago but got rid of them with soapy stuff. Nothing so far on the veg crops in GH, polytunnel or garden, but most of the veg garden is covered with insect netting.

Dave, not sure about commercially but it is in the trade, like most effective insecticides it will probably be withdrawn.:(
