Greenhouse books?

    I was wondering if anyone could recommend the best greenhouse books for beginners, I've read a few reviews online but no particular one is standing out. Its for a present so don't mind paying up to £10 - £15. Thanks :)

      Hi Caz, I tend to collect, usually old, gardening books and I have around 11 on Greenhouses from 1884 to present day. The problem with buying today's books on Greenhouse growing is that there is a lot of repetition and sometimes one book reads like another. There is also the problem of the person's, whom you're giving the book to, personal reading tastes. There is a lot of mundane books on the subject but, possibly, you might find the below recommendations of some use:

      Greenhouse Gardening [Step by Step to Gardening Success} Author: Jonathon Edwards

      Price around £8.99p

      The Greenhouse Expert Author: Dr D G Hessayon

      Price around £7.99p

      The Greenhouse Gardener Author: Anne Swithinbank
      and
      John Swithinbank

      Price around £19.99p

      Those are just suggestions, and I would point out that the prices are the top prices and you can definitely get them cheaper by shopping around.

      The complete book of the greenhouse Ian G Wallis. is very thorough.

      Checkout Amazon, I have bought some good books for as little as 1p plus postage.
