    Hi All,
Well I have finally brought my greenhouse and it was delivered on Wednesday. I now have the daunting task of errecting it!
To be honest, I think I have bitten off more than I can chew.

What would people recommend? Try and errect it myself, with the help fo the wife (Well I say help but I can see more arguments than help:lollol:)
Or try to find someone who will errect it for me and pay them?

Does anyone know of anyone in Staffordshire who does this as a job?

To my knowledge, no one specialises in soley puting up greenhouses. Either a garden maintance contractor or a small builder or handyman will be your best bet if you dont want to do it.

Nothing particularly technical about puting them up but the instructions can often be wrong or parts missing etc.

Get a roll of duck tape-and you can`t go far wrong chuck.

Might want to consider some expandable foam spray too.

    Just a thought.

As long as you get the base flat and everything square ..it should be pretty straightforward.
I put mine up by myself and its 9.5ft high :)

Agree with Hex, if you're going to do it your-self then spend a bit of time getting the base level and square, if not you might have trouble fitting the glass/polycarb or whatever later on.

It really isn't a difficult job, of course if you haven't ever done one then the instructions always sound like double dutch, you've got all winter (I guess you're not going to use it till the spring?) so just take your time, have a good read of the instructions and maybe go to the Garden Centre and have a really close look at an erected one to see how it goes together.

Snappers, more often than not the parts are bundled together in the component they are to become. That is, left hand wall, right hand wall etc. Just follow the instructions quietly and you will be fine. Don`t try to assmble a greenhouse, assemble each unit, then combine them to make a greenhouse.:thumb:

Thanks everyone for your answers. I was hoping to get it up in time to over winter my plants but not sure that is going to happen now!
I think I have the general idea but there are some parts that just do not make any sense at all in the instructions and some pieces that I can not see where they go! lol. It seemed like a good idea at the time!

Ah well, I'm off work next week so maybe, ill have a go at it then.

p.s. Does anyone know of a good divorce lawer, just in case!!!

I have put up 2 greenhouses with my husband. If you have time off work next week then you should be able to take a couple of days or so doing it. Take your time, read the instructions carefully and you shouldnn't have too many probs. I seem to remember the doors being the most complex and I would say it is prob a job for two people.

When I bought my greenhouse it was all in the price so I did not have to put the darn thing up but I was told to make sure the floor was flat and even. There was me with a long spirit level a spade and a long bit of wood. it took me 2 days just doing that and all by myself. I must have looked a right plonker to my neighbours.:lollol:
