I'm trying to fix some L-shaped brackets onto the roof of my greenhouse using cropped nuts and bolts but am finding it impossible to keep the brackets secure in the channels - they keep coming out. But amongst the fittings that came with my secondhand greenhouse (an Elite Belmont 12x8) were a couple of cropped bolts with slightly longer heads which do the job. But I can't find where to get them from. I have spoken to Elite and they appear to only supply the standard type as sold by all the garden centres. Does anyone know where they can be purchased?

    Many thanks.

If you cannot find the ones you want, then try using an electric screwdriver with a socket attachment to screw up the nuts. I found that the speed of the thing rotating was enough to get them to tighten.

I'm not quite sure about your exact problem, but if it's a case of the nuts loosening on the bolts you could try using loctite in the threads. Or if you want a permanent solution a bit of expoxy adhesive might do it, though you'd need to roughen and de-grease the mating surfaces first.
