I'm thinking of getting a greenhouse a small one say a 4x6 soon but I'm a little concerned about heating as alot of the heating that is on offer is bad for the environment, like the parrafin heaters and the propane, and of course electric, which is now way too expensive at present, does anyone out there have any suggestions on eco friendly heating?if not,. how do I keep a greenhouse warm in the autumn and winter.

We have an electric fan heater with a frost setting but in recent years we have stopped heating the greenhouse. If you need extra protection you could line it with bubble wrap.

stel it depends on what you plan to keep or grow in your greenhouse over the winter. If you just want to overwiter a few tender plants it would be much cheaper keeping them indoors on a windowsill, rather than heating a whole greenhouse. If you are starting from scratch why not consider an attached 'lean-to' type which may be able to benefit from escaped heat from your house.
