Can anyone recommend a particular greenhouse thermometer?

I have a basic "station", that has a block in the greenhouse and inside. Can go back to see lows/highs. Works for a few years now, just change batteries.

Oh don't get me going on thermometers.
I have a max/min one and a couple that work off sensors and some just cheapo plastic ones.
I like the sensor ones for when the heating is on in the winter, I can lay in bed and monitor the temperature.

I don't think many give you true readings in a sunny greenhouse in summer apart from to make your own comparisons.

Often the sighting is the crucial factor.
One thing regarding the sensor type, they do have a restriction on the range, so your estate, @Loofah ,might be too large for them to work.

I've got a couple of oregon scientific temp monitors. They work well for me. Greenhouses are about 150ft from the house which is on the limit of the infra red sensors. I can flip between greenhouses to see current, max and min temps. They also record humidity which I don't take much notice of. It's well made and reliable. I've had them years, guess they don't make such a simple one anymore, probably nowadays it's going to be WiFi or Bluetooth with an app.

I've got two of these, cheap but sturdy:
            www.greenhousepeople.co.uk/products/3338/digital-maxmin-thermometer-green/
which seem reliably accurate ie they agree with each other.
It is necessary to site on the north side of something solid so as to avoid radiated heat.
Some thought as to how you use the data, ie it may be more useful to invest in thermostat controllers and/or automated window openers etc.

Depend if you just need a simple remote min/max thermometer or something that can do more like turning on a fan or heater and sending out Alarm notifications for over or under temperature.

Have a look at this if interested - Temperature Controller ITC-308-WIFI

Doesn't need remote capability or control anything, I'm quite happy to use my legs
