By the way. Don't forget to start at the roof and then the sides. When you do the sides, if they have 2 pieces of glass and z clips then start at the bottom and work up. Hope you understand this.

For greenhouse glass, use hot water and a hefty dose of household bleach, but remember to wear washing up gloves or your hands will be like prunes.

Terrier you are an extremist. :D

I tried to grow prunes once. I planted a pit but just got a lousy plum tree,.

Chickychic, when you glaze the gh put the 4 panes in the lower corners of the roof first. If they are sitting in the frame properly then you know that the greenhouse is " square ", if they don`t sit properly the adjust the frame until they do.When you are happy with tose four, then you should glaze the four walls. Once that is done you can finish glazing the roof. If you glaze the roof first you end up twisting the frame out of shape or even bringing the whole lot down because of the greenhouse being top heavy.

Trust a professional to get exact. I tried that. It didn't work. So I glazed the roof first (which is what the manufacturer said) that DID work. Oh except I've got one piece of glass that doesn't quite fit. But silicone sealant is wonderful. :D

If it didn`t work John, then the frame was ( is ) out of square. :D

Can I just give one piece of advice though on sealant. Don't buy from your local pound shop. I thought that the glass overlaps etc. would be better sealed and as white silicon was available at my local pound shop for um, £1 and the clear stuff is about £6 a tube and I needed about 6-8 tubes for the lot, I decided to save up to £40, Fortunately, to test, I only bought one tube of the £1 stuff.

I do know how to use it so just did the gable end for a test. 2 days later the gable was whited out by runny cheap silicon. Darn it, it cost me another pound in glass cleaner 'cos it never was going to set. Even in summer. [IMG] :D
