    Greetings All,

I am a 48 yr old stroke survivor that is medically retired I have a back garden that has been neglected for a few years due to my illness, however I am now fit enough to start to get it back in shape.

The lawn I did have is now non-existent and over run with weeds some of which are 2/3 ft tall.

I wish to transform this space and start again from scratch with new flower beds, new lawn etc.

So any help and advice I can get on this great forum is most welcome.

I will put some photos up shortly so you all know what I have to deal with.

    Regards

    PF :dbgrtmb:

Hi Pompeyfaith, welcome to Gardeners Corner. It sounds like a job not to be rushed but to be enjoyed as you get back into the swing of things. You've probably got a few things as to what you want to do in the garden in your mind already. But there a very friendly and knowledgeable gang here with plenty of suggestions and ideas on offer if you need any.
Take it easy and that will give you more time to design things as you go along.:D:thumbsup:

        Hi Welcome
I agree with Armandii , I will add little and often , start with the lawn , you will have sucess very soon and somthing to be proud off plus you can turn it round very quickly to looking good but at the moment call it a wildflower meadow

          Spuce,

A wild flower garden yup I kid you not it is a total mess, however I can see beyond the weeds and are very keen to get this done so me and the wife can have some nice outside space to enjoy with the nieces and nephews.

I have 4 hanging baskets ready to go up these I will do tomorrow morning then make a start with the weeding.

I managed to get myself a Mantis mini tiller today free from a guy off Havant freegle he has bad osteoarthritis in his hands so is no longer able to start it.

So tomorrow I will have a sweat and clear the weeds then I can turn over the compacted soil.

Ill start a new thread and add some photos.

          Regards
