    Hi,

I am experimenting at the moment. I have planted some heritage Scottish and so far so good. I have planted 10 bags in my allotment in which I have put 3 seeds. I will let you know how they fare....the comments I get are mixed. A friend of mine swear by them. She has had very crops in the past.
    Will see!

    Hi.

This year I planted Anya, Charlotte and Juliette spuds in old compost sacks and 3 large plastic tubs. The others are doing fine, but the Anyas are suffering, as the I think the roots got damaged when I moved the bags to a sunnier location. It seems they don't like this. Anyas are tiny spuds anyway, so perhaps they're not that robust. The dreaded slugs had a go too.......grrrrrr.....
I saved some spare chitted Rocket spuds from wilko for some reason - I'm glad now - I lost quite a few Anyas, so will put the Rockets in the bags where the wilted Anyas are, and see what happens.

Moral of the story - don't move the bags too much or at all! . FWIW, ex- Sainsbury's Anyas in the soil were great last year - don't expect a high yield, but what a taste! :)

    cheers,
    Dave (missing Anya ;) )
