    Hi all,

New to gardening and i don't really have the space for a greenhouse so i was wondering if these plastic growbag greenhouses (or similar) are any good or whether i'd be better off keeping the plants on windowsills.

Intending to grow the following :-

Hi Meef and welcome to GC. The plastic g.houses are really just a glorified cloche. They are very useful for keeping frost off plants but aren't in any true sense heatable also they usually don't last long until the wind tears them. Your sweet peppers, chillis, and tomatoes certainly don't want to be in one yet, they all like it very warm. The others should be fine once this really cold snap finishes, which I am hoping is within the week. But I'm an optimist.

Meefster, why not go to your local greenhouse supplier and see if they do a tomato house. This is like a mini lean-to greenhouse. They are usually about 5ft to 6ft tall, about 4ft wide and 2ft deep, and are designed to go against a wall or fence.

Thanks for the responses. I'll investigate the tomato house idea.
