Growing a lawn on top of silt?

    I have a friend who wants to lay a lawn on top of whatever it is she digs out of poole harbour. I think this is insanity as surely the salinity will kill any grass trying to thrive. Obviously a layer of top soil will be layered onto the silt. Any thoughts out there?

    Sidonie, I entirely agree, the worst thing you can do is add salt to a garden, this is why you should never use bulders sand in the garden either. David.
