    Hello,

I planted two dogwood seedlings about a year ago, with the plan to grow them in to a coppiced style multistem specimens for winter red stem effect. Should I cut these back at all now to encourage this style of growth, or are they far too young? (1.5 to 2ft foot high)

    Many thanks

I'd have a look late winter but I reckon they will be fine. What variety are they?

I agree - it would be better to wait until they're a bit more mature. They're still very young specimens.

If they are Cornus Alba Sibirica they should be left for the first three years before you remove some of the older stems. It would be good to know the variety.
