I have just had a load of manure delivered to my allotment and have filled up every container and raised bed I have plus two areas which have been dug.The man next to me grows marrows and courgette's in builders bags which are filled with manure. If I filled some containers like the ones you get chicken pellets in would I be able plant on some greenhouse grown cucumbers into these containers and grow them outdoors.I presume I would have to use a outdoor variety

Marketmore has grown well outdoors in raised beds here (Herefordshire) for the last two years - more cucumbers than we can eat from 2 or 3 plants. Germinated in the greenhouse then planted out as small plants. Is there a reason why you want to grow them in containers rather than in the ground?

I've grown Marketmore outdoors around 30 years and never found anything better.

I just thought it would be easier to grow them in these containers.Would they grow if planted straight in manure. The manure will be in the containers now untill at least may
