    Hello

My first attempt at growing herbs in a pot. Is it a good idea to grow parsley sage and thyme in the same pot or would the parsley be better in a pot of its own?

    Thanks

Up until today I had parsley in a pot on the kitchen windowsill.
It was healthy and recovered well after trimming bits off for the cooking.
Today I had to bin it after finding it was infested with greenfly.
    (Something to watch out for)
Just as well I divided the plant awhile ago and have another healthy one in the conservatory.

Sage and Thyme will probably be ok in the same pot, as they like similar conditions. Parsley would be better in its own pot. Parsley should go in the deepest pot you can find that is practical for where you want to put it, as it forms a tap root and is happiest with lots of leg room. In a pot it would probably benefit from a bit more moisture than it would need in the ground, because in open ground its tap root allows it to seek water from very deep down, whereas it doesn't have that luxury when in a pot.
