    Hi,

I'm just getting into edible gardening and my wife, who's from Japan, was asking if I can grow 'shiso' a kind of Japanese herb that we can't buy in the UK.

    Anyone have tips for this?

Actually, just looked it up and its called 'perilla' in English.

    Thanks,

    Hi Terrier,

Thanks for the reply. So it should be growable in the UK then? That's great news.

So do we need cuttings and not seeds? I could ask my in-laws to send some, but is that ok to send cuttings/seeds from Japan?

Thanks for the link Steve. Have you tried growing it yourself? Any tips?
