    Dear Goblin,
as we speak, am growing Mushrooms in my Graden shed, I do this all the time, and it never fails.
Buy a £4.99, box of Mushroom spawn, it is all complete from any Garden Centre, and follow the instructions, I always get three 'growings' and find them delicious. If you have a big family, you could of course grow two boxes, I recon it is money well spent as the used compost can be dug into the garden, and it is pretty good stuff.

Try this site for different kits

+ if you use mushroom compost on your garden, you may strike lucky & get some in amongst your plants(I have had a generous crop this way), but do make sure you can identify them!

I never realized there was any problem with the spent Mushroom compost, never had any trouble, so just assumed it was ok, also had the odd patch of Mushrooms, what a bonus.
My Garden has been battered all week with the wind and rain, the lovely Daffs, have had their heads in the mud, and although they are now upright, they are not a pretty sight , being very dirty in the cup. We are promised a good day tomorrow, so plans are afoot to do a bit of ho ho hoeing. Ambersparkle

Thank you Bayleaf, just been on the Mushroom site you recommend, it is unbelieveable, I will certainly be sampling some of their different Mushrooms, when I get a bit more organised, I only moved here in January, so have a lot to do, as the last occupant was 95, Ambersparkle

Good luck Ambersparkle! Sounds like you've got your work cut out - Hope its not too overgrown
I used innoculated logs, & spawn for grass in a garden I built recently - so am looking forward to the results! I love fungi & go foraging in season, Hope you find room in your garden for some when you have time!
