My neighbour spreaded our compost pile from last year across the grass. These started growing shortly after.
    There are several of them.
    Thank you

      What is that?
I just caught my kids (2 and 5 years old ) playing there.

It's edible, not very tasty though, but incredibly invasive.

Best spot it with some roundup gell rather than disturb it. It'll make a new plant from the tiniest bit of root :hate-shocked:

        :oopss:
I have found a few on the land I'm working on. It's quite possible that some roots got snapped. I thought they were normal weeds until I saw the same thing growing on compost that was spreaded on the grass. My neighbor wants to plant flowers there.
Will the ground elder disturb potatoes or leeks?

I empathise with you totally @cathymoon... I have it all over the garden...When GC told me what it was ... I even looked up recipes...and offered everyone around for dinner to munch through it all..:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

I do treat mine with roundup.. however you need to be careful with other plants nearby. I've now just learnt to live with it and deal with it as best I can...

Ground Elder and Feta Cheese Pie for lunch anyone?
