    Hi all when is the best time of year to plant seeds for Persian Iron wood.

    Hi Kels ,
    The best time to growing seeds it`s always spring , more lights , warmer temperature and so on .
    Persian Iron wood go dormant in winter so no point of try now unless you got spare seeds , you can give a go.
    but the best time to germinate tree is beginning of March.

    Thank you.. will try 2 and keep in greenhse..otherwise will wait till march.

    Hi Kels, if you know someone with a mature plant, they do quite well from hard wood cuttings too. Just wait till just after the leaves fall, then stick a few cuttings into a mix of grit and multi purpose compost - pushing them well in. Forget about them, other than keeping the compost moist and you should have rooted cuttings this time next year.

    I dont know anyone thats why I bought the seeds :) thanks for the information though
