Hi just wondering i planted my seeds in a seed tray with cells with the propagator plastic lid. I soaked them for 24hours before and now about a week later they are already starting to sprout. Not sure if I have done this right, but i'm winging it as i'm new to gardening! [IMG]

As I have never grown sweetpeas before, when should i plant them in the garden. also wondering what are the benefits of growing them in toilet roll tube?sounds a great way to recycle them though [IMG]

Growing sweetpeas in toilet roll middles gives them a longer root system. I grew mine in seed trays last year though and had no problems. You must tie them up to supports though when planted out or they become excessively tangled. Keep cutting the flowers to encourage new ones [IMG][/img]
These were my first sweet peas last year. I recommend having a go, the perfume was overpowering at times even for me (I can't smell many flowers)

Hi Nathan, I put up a row of canes and tied garden twine between them then fastened the sweetpeas to the twine. I don't think the cnes were really long enough thougheven tough they were 5'.
