Does anybody have any idea what a white grub with red head could be? Is it going to eat all my plants, or turn into a moth or something else? I've tried to search for it on the internet, but haven't found it anywhere. I have found these in the bottom of empty pots and in the ground, so not definite place and only this year, as i've never seen these before. Any help much appreciated.:dunno:

:hate-shocked:yep that is exactly what it looks like - oh no. Mind you i haven't seen any damage and have let the birds eat them, so don't feel so guilty now! I've never actually seen a vine weevil. Thanks Clueless1.

        Oh well another Jack mistake
But I have learnt from this thread

When I was digging out the dropped beds, under what was the roots of a fushsia I found several of these crawlies,
I thought they may be moths or some such usefull insect and did not squish them so I have six on the rampage in my new patch
