Guess the canna?

    Can anyone tell me what cultivar this canna is as it's just stunning!

    Canna indica 'Purpurea' only a guess lots of hybrids to choose from could be any of them.

    yes 'purprea' was my first thoughts but the canna in the photo just seems too red to me :(

    It looks the same as mine, but when i got the Label out all it said was Indian Shot :confused:

    I find Cannas very hard to identify and they are not always 'true' .... my Lucifer which is supposed to be red and yellow is pure yellow. :confused:

    Cutie, the common name for them is Indian Shot because of their hard pea-like seeds. Here is an interesting link ....

    Kalmia, it looks the same as mine which is a Tropicanna, AKA Durban as Bob says.:thumb::D

    Looks like Durban.
    If you are planning on getting one be careful to get one free from virus - dont touch any of the B+Q ones as they were in a real state.
