    The gunnera has started to come up again this year. This is a picture of it last year - if I tell you that there is a touring caravan parked behind it you can get some perspective of the size:)

    Wow. I just planted some seed. No sign of germination yet, they seem slow, but I only need one don't I?:D

    We bought a 5 acre smallholding 20 years ago and 'borrowed' some of the land to increase the size of the garden:) I say borrowed because we were told that we had to have planning permission to convert it from agricultural to garden:eek: It does mean that I have an awful lot of lawn mowing to do and it's too rough for a ride-on mower.

    John if your ever my side of the pennines call in for one,I split mine into 3 last year at present they are at present in large pots and growing well,I think it's b/man that grows his successfully in a pot to limit its size so i'm giving it a go.
