I ordered the above from Jacques Briant and they arrived yesterday...but....could someone who has grown these tell me whether I've been had, please?
The Habenaria bulb is the size of a pea. Is this normal?
The Tacca is a wizened stem about 12cm 4" long with no signs of life anywhere. Is it likely to grow?
This Company have a very good return/replacement policy but just want to check that they're non starters before contacting them. Thanks!

Grown and bloomed both. The Habenaria sounds correct. Need a photo of the Tacca though.

DSCF0059.JPG Hello @longk, I thought you would have done!:)
I disinterred the Tacca to take a photo and answered my own question. What a difference a few days in warm, damp compost has made. The next question is did you plant yours vertically or horizontally? Many thanks...

Have you not noticed my avatar!

Mine had growth so it went in the right way up :heehee: I would plant it horizontally if I were you. Good luck! Plenty of heat, plenty of humidity once in growth and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible whilst still giving it bright light. They grow like boogery and get BIG!

Lovely photos, @longk! Um, observant is my middle name:biggrin:
@shiney, just so long as they don't look like what you eat at your local Mexican:heehee:
I'm going to have a go at one of the Taccas, the other one and the Habenaria are for a friend. I potted them up for her...she's on her own now:whistle:
Thanks again for all the help!
