I have a climbing rose that seems to have wonderful petals and looks as if its about 1/3 bloomed and will fully open shortly but for the past couple of years it never has, the whole bloom just falls off the stem. It looks as if its the same this year the rose has the morning sun into about 2ish before going into the shade. I have never fed it could this be the reason????

It could well be that it needs feeding Fiona, roses are generally hungry and thirsty plants. Give it a boost with a liquid feed now, either one specifically for roses or tomato food works well. It would also benefit from rotted horse manure being dug in a couple of times a year. Pelleted chicken manure is becoming popular now and not so messy to deal with. It's available in most garden centres/nurseries, also in places like Wilkinson's where you will find it is cheaper to buy.

I presume apart from the flower drop the rose looks healthy. :)

Fiona . I use Bonemeal ,it is rich in Phosphorus ,good for healthy root development and flower growth.
It also contains Calcium and Nitrogen, but use Sparingly.
Use A tablespoon to every square feet.
I use Miracle Gro Organic Choice ,
follow the instructions this should help your problem:blue thumb:.
