I am trying to find a sturdy cage for my baby hamster. He has gnawed a hole in the corner of 1 cage. Flipped the catch at one side of a cage I now realise was cheap and faulty and has now woken me up by opening the door of his current cage!
Can anyone reccomend a cage? I dont want to lose a seccond hamster to escape

Thankfully the hamster is still in your possession as opposed to behind some furniture never to be found again...

Any pet shop would have a good selection, can I suggest you secure the cage door by twisting a piece of wire around it or knotting some string around the door catch.

It's been over 10 years since my kids kept hamsters, and I had to google to remind myself what the tube/cage system was called. It was the Rotastak system, it's well made, slightly more expensive than normal cages and a lot more fun because you can add to the tubing and make mazes etc.
