Hey guys i just wanted to enquire...

Theres a guy no older than me who lives outside our store some of the week, we've had little chats when bringing him food, and hes a very nice, if not a little off-the-wall guy.

From speaking to him, all we've found out is that there were major family issues which lead to drugs which lead to complete bewilderment when he suddenly found himself on the street. He goes to the council once a week to see if his application for any benefit at all that he is even slightly applicable to has come through, and we know there is one where you can recieve something like £5 a day to pay for anything you need to live, food or a place to stay for instance, and hes not recieving it.

Hes trying to save up money to buy a tent and a few things for himself and hes struggling.

From what i believe, hes quite artistic, so i was going to propose to him that if i bought him some materials he might make some cards, draw some images etc and i'll buy envelopes and sell them for him where i can.
I havent approached him about this yet, because i wanted to make sure there would be somewhere to sell at least some.

If i asked him to use a theme, for instance flowers and maybe gave him a book or magazine to try copying from or for inspiration, i think, although they'll be nothing grand and detailed or trained, they might be interesting drawings!

I was thinking of selling them in bundles of 4 or 5 for a donation of no less than £2 for the cards, envelopes and postage and packaging to send them.

    How does that sound?

He doesnt appear to be someone who might get too reliant or anything, but i know he hates begging, and theres way more to him than he realises right now.

[IMG] What a lovely thought Whiley. It's often the fact that somebody takes an interest that helps on the road to rehabilitation.
    Yes, count me in!
