@ARMANDII Lovely hanging basket used to have them and they got watered regular but with some summers the heat would destroy them because where we are it's a sun trap front and back from early morning till late evening...so I brought the false ones in the end.

I'm going to be buying new ones this year though :)

      I've got three of these

@Gail_68 - have you noticed that the birds try to take the plastic leaves out of the faux box balls for nest building?

No @"M" I've had them up quite a few years and they only reason they're being replaced is because the suns took the colour with the green, the purple are still the same and there's no holes or anything but we do have a friend and he said he's got to replace his because of holes in his...thanks for letting me know that :dbgrtmb:...I wondered why a neighbour 3 doors down as two hanging in his tree :heehee:

Suggestions for good bedding suppliers, please?
Used Jersey Plants last year, good plants but they came bit too late for my liking.

Most mail order plants will be small plugs , or micro plugs . I got 40 Busy lizzie plugs in a tray just a bit bigger than a playing card ! I like growing them on and all are doing fine now. I would ignore these super offers for mail order plants at this time of year. For bargains wait until first week of May and then try Asda , Tesco etc. New B and M near us has an actual garden centre ! Not looked at it yet. For plant choice your local nursery is a better pick .

Thanks Harry, it's just I haven't got the space to grow the plugs on this year anyways (plus I haven't got the head for faff!), polytunnel has been ripped so all my veg seedlings for the allotment are at home. I did wonder when the supermarkets have them in so thanks for that, previous years I always seemed to miss the best plants, we don't have many decent nurseries around by us or even a Morrisons :frown:
