    I don't think there is much chanch of overwintering Ipomoea outside Nathan, they need to be kept frost free and ideally at around 5c. They should be kept on the dry side to prevent rottting and only increasing watering in March to start growth again.

    Hi Nathan,
    I agree with Dave Nathan, they will need extra heat in a greenhouse or the like to over winter... Have you got a tuber in the basket though?? I found this little snippet though..
    Good Luck.. :wink::)

    Hy roders I have two, I bought them from a new store that took over from Mark and Spencer where I think they cost about £3.99 each, I will get the name of the store for you might be one near
    If you can find out if they can be split or a way of taking a cutting I will do that for you [bit cold now for cuttings I suppose]

    There was an article about Ipomoea in the D Telegraph yesterday I think = it gave the same response as from Strongylodon - also gave suppliers of seeds including Thomson and Morgan ( hope I got that right - my wife threw away the paper!)

    Have found the article and it refers to Ipomoea lobata so maybe not the same type. Th seed supplierswere listed as T&M, Suttons Seeds - they also reccomended a plant supplier viz. Derry Watkins at www.specialplants.net based in Chippenham.
