    I would like to wish MichaelmasDaisy (my sister) a happy retirement.
    She left the job that she loved today but I know she didn't really want to.

    There are lots of people who can't wait to retire - but how many are
    there who would much rather work longer?

    Happy retirement, MMD. After just over five years now since I "early retired" I still wonder how I ever had time to go to work!

    My cousin in Australia is 82 and I think is going to retire this year ... she has been saying that for a few years now. She works for the Environment Department of the Government and fought them in Court years ago that they cannot force a person to retire if they don't want to and are still capable ... and she won!

    Happy retirement MD ..you'll never have a minute now you know .... we retired early 13 years ago, upped sticks and came to our 'maison seconadiare' permanently ...hubby was 47 and I was 45 ... NEVER looked back ......
