    Hi All

I have some heleborus and blushing bride (which are flowering) in my cold frame. With the weather as it has been I have been unable to harden off. If I put them in my blow away green house with the door open will this be ok to harden the off in there and if there us a frist forecast I can close it up. As I need the space in the cold frame.

    Rusty.

If they are in the cold frame just open it up on nice days for a week, then leave it open on mild nights (if we get any!), then they will be ready to plant out.

Unless the cold frame has been kept closed, and the sun has heated it up significantly, if it was me I would just plant them straight out - other than keeping the wind off it won't have been warming them enough to make soft growth (unless kept closed like a sun-trap :) )

If they are in a coldframe then every night we had a frost they would also have been frosted. In my greenhouse I have a minimum and maximum thermometer and each morning frost is on the roof untill the sun comes out, and most days it's been at 0º or -1 -2 overnight. This thermometer is located just above the plants on a heated sandbed. I also run a electric fan heater set at about 5º on the floor. Plants have got through without any problems with it being cold.
