Today I had to have one of my beloved dogs put down. She was fine one day and the next was in distress from congestive heart failure. I have had her since she was a tiny pup and she went everywhere with me, pretty much. She'd never had an ill day in her life before. She was my best friend, a sweet and loving lady with a huge sense of fun. I will miss her so very, very much.

Oh Lea! :grphg: Sincere condolences - what a brave and courageous thing you did for her today; the kindest and most loving of all :doggieshmooze:

Take comfort from all the wonderful times you shared together and the memories she has bequeathed you. And do take just one day at a time - be gentle with yourself :grphg:

I'm so so sorry - such a horrible decision to make but we make it because it's what best for them, even if it tears your heart out :grphg::grphg::grphg:

Oh Lea, I do know what you're going through, having had to do the same with my Tiffy 10 days ago, just a month after losing Kai. The hardest, but kindest, thing we can do for our beloved pets. Thinking of you :grphg:

It never gets any easier how many dogs you have, I feel for you I had 2 Shih Tzu Pups in 2003 brothers inseparable, then last year lost my lovely Boris, Prostate cancer still miss him so badly thought his brother might follow but after a few weeks of not eating and looking he has rallied and demands to be nursed while watching TV !

So sorry to hear that Lea . It really is heart wrenching when the decision has to be made , as it must . A loved pet leaves an empty space in your life when they die :grphg:
