If any of you drool at the site of a Harley, get a towel.
This is Keystone, just one town that puts up the bikers going to the annual Harley rally at a town called Sturgis in South dakota, they expect upto 400,000 (no error there) so all the surrounding towns have every room booked. We just happened to be there at the same time and although I am not interested in bikes, this was fascinating, they were everywhere and came from everywhere and the noise!!! They were all polite and friendly but they did like their beer.

Good shots Strongy like the one showing the belt drive, wonder how long they get out of a belt,I was in the throws of designing a belt drive for a bicycle once with a varible pulley to use instead of gears.

:thumb: Oh yes Strongy..!! Very nice..!! HOG Heaven..!! :thumb: Harley owners really do love their bikes... ! Most bikers in the USA are very friendly, but the Harley owners really are like a huge international family.. We went to Sturgis in 1990.. A fantastic experience..!! OH was on US tv, as they wanted an English bikers opinion of it all..!!!!! :D Somewhere there are some photos, but they would have to be scanned in & our scanner isn't working...

:thumb: Anyway, thanks for sharing those Strongy, brought back some memories..!!!

:thumb: Walnut, an average belt-life on a Harley is pretty good
So belt drive, has become very popular over the chain or shaft drive versions...!;)
