Harvest or grow bigger?

    My green beans.... is this big enough to harvest or should I keep them growing yet?

    I would harvest them at that size. They will be more tender. :thumb:

    I would take them now Snowbaby. If they're left too long they just get tough and stringy.

    YEY! I had a thorough inspection of the bean plants when my wee girl napped, there's quite a lot at this size, so we should get enough to use for tonight's dinner!!

    I used a bug repellent last week, should I wash them in any particular way or anything? The repellent was suitable for edible plants so, technically it's fine, right??

    Those beans look just about right to me! Just wash them well under the tap and they'll be fine.

    We must swallow a ton of dodgy chemicals in what we eat every day - it don't bear thinking about!
