    Sorry Woo,I somehow missed this thread again:dh: Lovely photos of the bales and the ripening fruit.The farmers round here have gone back to doing the bales in large rectangles instead of the round ones they used to be. Not sure why thye have gone back to those sort.When we were away in Devon a few weeks ago,we drove down to see my sister and brother in law we catually saw a field of stooks{spelling} something you don't see so much now,but they were a bit too far away to take a photo of from the car...:)

    We used to live in the country when we were growing up [dad worked on farms] and we used to play in the fields when there were "haystacks" made of oblong bales of hay. What fun we had too :)

    :gnthb: I just love harvest time as well, it evokes childhood memories for me too... They are all very busy here this weekend in the fields on the other side of the village, trying to get it al in now before the rain they have forecast..!!:doh:
