I think this warm weather is going to end after the weekend. Is it time to harvest my pumpkins and Crown Prince squash? Some of them are big and obviously ripe but some of my pumpkins are still a bit green, and some of my squash plants started growing new fruit just a few weeks ago so they are still small. When is the best time to pick them? Thanks.

Well I think squash can be left a bit longer just keep an eye open for rot at ground level, if the fruits are touching the ground.
Think I would cut back some shoots and remove any new fruits.
Get the sun to the fruit.
