My veg. plot is now a cutting flower bed. Most of my friends were giving their veg away to me from overspill allotments and I just LOVE flowers.

BUT I was sent a book called "Veg in Pots" or something like that and I am just amazed at what I am now growing, I have sweetcorn higher than the greenhouse, my old veg rack is potted up with pretty letuce, tomatoes herbs, a great courgette called "one Ball" and a climbing one which I have on trial.

There was every veg you could imagine in this books, so I am sure you will be ook with stuff, if in doubt, look for minatures - or buy big pots!

book is called "Crops in pots" by Bob Purnell published by Hamlyn.

As to your potatoes - the back of your cupboard resembles mine! I remember in my fathers garden we used to find potatoes growing everywhere from peelings mum had thrown on the compost heap so though I don't grow potatoes myself, I would guess you would be OK with them

I have grown Garlic in pots and just this morning emptied them out ready to dry off. We have already been eating some for the past week or so and the flavour is so much more intense than shop bought ones.

Yes, I followed a tip on growing potatoes in bags
kept empty compost bags turned them inside out put drainage holes in them added 6inch of compost and three potato seeds to each bag then just earthed them up when needed.
I am also growing garlic, peas and carrots in tubs so far so good [IMG] fingers crossed all seem to be growing well.
Will let you know the outcome when ready for picking, carrots look almost ready [IMG]
