We all like a good nose around other peoples gardens,, so it wont take long to look about my little veg plot

First we start with a success this is one branch on my ballerina apple tree, there are two more like this. looks like a really good crop is expected
    [IMG]

Runner beans are showing promise after a slow start

Theres some parsnips under there somewhere!

At last we have some ripening of the tomatoes. You will notice a couple have splits across them. Probable erratic watering / rain
    [IMG]

Gaint Amish paste have a ways to go yet

Tumblers in the baskets are looking good as well with some runners for companion

Getting a good result from a few pot planted onions
    [IMG]

My potatoes growing in a variety of containers are nearly ready for harvest
    [IMG]

This potato greenery is growing from inside my composter you can just make out in the background

Thats a short tour of my little veg plot for today.
    hope you enjoyed your stay.
Tea and biccies in the conservatory are ready for you.

Those bumpy tomatoes are Amish Paste

'Amish Paste'. Dates to the turn of the century. Oblong, pastetype fruit with solid flesh, few seeds, sweet flavor; also used for slicing. Large for a paste tomato.

You are right, I like being nosey - especially when out for a walk and near any allotments - I just have to go over and have a proper look.

It all looks great Robert, I'll be interested to hear how those Amish Paste tomatoes taste.

Everything is looking just super, Robert. :gnthb:

My runner beans were a failure this year, started too late and then the slugs got them. Yours looks great and I think there is always the added bonus of the pretty red flowers. They, along with the potatoes and lashings of salted butter, will make a meal fit for a king.

I never have any luck with tomatoes, but I do love seeing how well other peoples do. I bet those Amish ones are just the thing for making sandwiches with.

Thanks for giving us the chance to be nosey with permission. :hehe:

Excellent to see Robert, looks like a good crop of apples to be had there, good crop of everything!

Our potatoes are now ready to be cropped too, maybe I should get out and take some photos of our veggies and start a topic too....I had no idea when I started that potatoes would take over so much!

Looking forward to hearing how the amish taste along with John.

    Steve...:)

Ok, I harvested one of my potato sacks this morning.
They were planted with three Vivaldi or charlotte?
    Not sure which.
The labeling has worn off with the weather!
I`m not overly impressed with the result but the tubers are really clean and look like a good feed.
Judge for yourself from this short video
