I wouldn't hold your breathe. Last time, they found it was a timing problem between them and France (If I remember correctly). It must have been a problem getting across the EU border. :heehee:

Of course the whole thing will be a waste of time if they forgot to put their clocks forward by 1 second at the weekend.

The Big Bang and it's Higgs Boson is just religion disguised as science and these 'particles' are the same 'particles' in the Star Wars literature that the Jedis have

They claim they only have indirect evidence of it's existence. In other words they assume it exists and then claim they have observed some marginally consistent results. ....

so to me that says they are trying to convice the 'sheeple' that the billions spent (so far) was worth the effort

in a month or so, they will request a few more zillions to continue research

                LOL

first, there was absolutely nothing at all anywhere

then, there was a big bang that happened from absolutely nothing (no oxygen, no helium, no matches, no nothing?) ...

then .... after the explosion, there were huge round rocks called planets and stars (more than what can be counted and all round?)

then .... on this planet, due to an explosion (that happened from nothing), we have this:

                and this:

                and this:

                and this:

                etc etc

                I don't think so

Not wishing to diss Einstein but when he said nothing can go faster than light, then he failed to take into account what happened in in the -10 to the 43 of a second after the big bang when the known universe inflated from the size of a proton to the size of an orange?????

Now that had to be mooving way beyond the speed of light to do that?????

There's a very fine line between religion and science. To be honest I find some of the scientists that appear on TV to be as arrogant and ignorant as some of the more devout religious folks. Both place all their faith in something they can't see, or prove the existence of.

However, I think there's a difference in that most scientists accept that they don't know, and strive to find out, rather than just taking anything as gospel without questioning it.

So there's the abridged version of my views on science and religion. That just leaves magic in order to complete the trio. Magic is somewhere between science and religion. Like the other two, we can't see it or understand it. However we can see its effects everywhere we look. Every now and then somebody finds a plausible explanation for something and tells it to everybody, and then it stops being magic and starts being science.
