    Hi

I'm having a horrible time at the moment, yesterday I had such a bad "attack" continual coughing like I was choking, it went on for hours. Only a cough medicine with an Antihistamine finally settled it. I completely lost my voice.

Anyone else cursing the pollen count at the moment?

    Hi Yvonne

Try some locally produced honey contains all the local pollen's to your area , if you contact your local Society (google your area and put bee society in ) they normally have members that sell in the local area, I used to have it really bad but now just a occasional cough especially on the hot dry days and that all stopped when I restarted keeping the bees and eating the honey on a regular basis .

Most that I sold last year was to people that wanted it just for that , a spoon full every night in hot water and lemon and a guy in work is my best sales man as he told everyone that it worked as he had suffered for weeks and within days he was so much better , it worked for him so worth a try I was inundated with request to have a jar :snork: in fact to many I had to ration it out and all my core customers not happy when I had ran out:rolleyespink:

I get itchy eyes and the sneezes at this time of year. I just take anti histamine tablets and it clears right up. :)

I think I am suffering this year, but I don't normally, unless I just have a chill. Sneezing like a good un though, and got the snots! I don't normally get colds or coughs! Drives you nuts! It did all start with a sore throat though.

          Never in my life! :nonofinger:

Until ... last year :noidea: ... but, mine is more like having a streaming cold in just one nostril and heavy bouts of sneezing. Plus, mine usually only lasts 24hrs  Then I get time off for good behaviour and then - BAM! - off it goes again (and always, always, the right hand nostril!? Completely bonkers! :rolleyespink: )

Sorry to hear how you are suffering with it :grphg:

I think there is something called SLIT therapy. Have a quick Google.
You really need to ask a doctor which is best for you.

I know this sounds daft but Vaseline or a product similar (I use
waitrose organic nappy cream) in the nostrils does help to filter the pollen and stave off some of the misery.
......and yes I have a nose like a baby's bottom rest of face wreaked though lol!
