Now that the new site is settled in and debugged . The feature I miss from the original site was the location of the member being shown in their posting header . It was nice and useful to know the UK or world location . Can this feature be added again ?

Agreed - listen to Gardeners Question Time and they always ask for the callers location before giving advice.

I think it would be a good idea to have the location of the person asking a question because sometimes knowing where they are gives you an idea of their climate etc and aids answering the question.

I've noticed that's gone too. It was useful, and I've seen the feature on other forums using the same forum software so I guess it is just a configuration option.

Yes, it is always helpful to know their location (I'm also nosey :heehee:) and some of us had been adding what zone we are in, which is helpful in knowing the time of year for planting.

In the meantime, we could put it in our signatures.

I've updated my sig as suggested by Zig. Now I'm off outside to dig, I hope the rain doesn't ruin my wig. Maybe instead of work I'll just go for a cig.

Harry, it's warmer in London than in the surrounding area (same with any big town or city) due to the Heat Island effect.
