I am trying to drink healthy here...a tea made with two peppermint bags and one green tea bag (just because apparently it is so good for your health the green tea) and very little sugar....but the taste is really bitter and unpleasant:eeew:. Can you suggest me how to make a green tea pleasant?

You could sweeten with honey instead of sugar.

Personally, I binned off the green tea ages ago because frankly, it's horrible. Instead, I routinely drink red bush. It's as rich in anti oxidants as green tea, has no caffeine, and is rich in minerals that do nice things like regulate heart beat and maintain electrolyte levels.

Or you could forego the conventional teas altogether, and sup infusions of various herbs from your garden. Sage is nice, and has many claimed health benefits. Rosemary with a slice of lemon is nice and fills you with energy. You can even use leaves of blackcurrant, but it's pretty bland that one.

I've never had any sweetness of any kind in my hot drinks ... but ... would a little honey take the edge of the "bitter" taste? :noidea:
Or, maybe add a slice of lemon?

You can get green tea with melon.
To me green tea tastes like what I'd imagine the juice would taste like from the bottom of the compost heap :heehee: the smell is enough to put me off! :eeew:

I've recently learnt that green tea needs to be brewed with water at 75°C not boiling, that might help reduce the bitterness.
