BBC Weather forecast for my village:

      Fri 18° C
      Sat 18° C
      Sun 18° C
      Mon 18° C

That appears hotter than all the places I've just checked on the coast in the South West, about time we got some decent weather here rather than frosts in late May and early frosts again in September.

P.S. Saw a snowplough drive through this afternoon, complete with gritter at the rear (not operating) and flashing lights on! :yikes:

I'm guessing it depends on what weather forecaster you use, looking at the BBC one it says 19C for my town on fri sat sun mon,

I can remember a weekend in October back in 2011 when we had a couple of days over 80F, (27C), so its not really a heatwave, but would be nice to get a bit of warmth before winter sets in proper.

Depends on what you call a heatwave, to me that's 26/27c + (which we hardly ever get here).
17c forecast here for Friday and Saturday, just about warm!

Look, doesnt matter how hot as long as it means gorgeous weather. Even if we get 18 degrees, and we will exceed that I'm sure, a day or two on the beach, walking the cliffs or enjoying the fresh air under the warm sun will be great :)
A genuine heatwave or not its better than a forecast of wind and rain......isnt it?:rasp:

The BBC always underestimates the weather here, I use the app on my iPhone/google instead. Much more reliable.

We had a 78f day.... forecast says real Autumn temps are here tonight. Sigh Ah Nawrah (don't know how to write Oriental) annuals.

                                :)

You probably guessed I was attending school when phonetics was taught..... :)
